Staff Spotlight

Susan Health
Program Manager/
Well-Being Coach

Please give a warm welcome to Susan. We are so glad to have her on our team!

Who inspires you professionally or personally?  And why?
Professionally:  My brothers and Brene' Brown.  They have provided so many useful leadership tools.
Personally:  My husband.  He is the most 'glass half full' person I've ever met.  He is always encouraging others with his words and actions.

What are some of your hobbies?
Reading, travel, and college football.

What is your most treasured accomplishment?
Practicing bravery.  Practicing transparency in relationships.  Practicing risk-taking and losing the fear of failure.

What do you do to treat yourself?
A glass of wine on the patio!

What is one thing you cannot do without?
Sleep!  I am not a nice human without it.

Wellness Corner
Everyone needs a little sunshine to stay healthy! Sunlight helps our bodies make vitamin D which in turn helps grow strong healthy bones.  But too much sunlight can be damaging.

Nemours Kids Health shares some great sun safety tips as well as what to do if you or your child get a sunburn. With summer here and more time spent outside, this is a great resource to share with families!

Stay sun safe out there!
