Staff Spotlight

How many years have you worked in your field?
I taught at Wooster Elementary for 7 years. I taught 1st graders and 3rd graders. I put teaching on hold to stay home with my twin boys and be their teacher. Jamie approached me about helping out with Curricula Concepts, and I love it so far!

What path led you to this work?
I have always had a passion for learning which turned into a passion for seeing others learn new things.

What are some of your hobbies?
One hobby I have is working out at my favorite CrossFit gym, CrossFit Greenbrier. I also love playing board games, doing puzzles, and baking.

Do you have any dreams or aspirations you want to share?
I honestly am not sure about my dreams for my future career at this point. I do know I want to strive to be like Jesus and to be the best mom to my two boys and wife to my husband.

Feeding children can be a challenge but sometimes the bigger challenge is eating healthy on a budget.  Families struggle to juggle all they have on their plates.  My Plate from the USDA has a wonderful resource to share with families.  It has a section devoted to Healthy Eating on a budget. It has a guide to help families plan meals, shopping tips, and it shares easy healthy recipes.  Follow this link to help families start out a healthy year!
